12 hours post-op
Aug 30
I am doing well. As the day continues, my brain is clearing and the anesthesia fog is lifting. I snoozed off and on all day, and have generally felt relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Awesome came at 7:15pm to check on me. She works loooong days! She said all went well, and was very attentive to my post-op care. The nurses here are excellent and thorough. Brad was here most of the day and has now gone home to the girls, and I had several lovely visitors.
I’m looking forward to a good night of sleep. Tomorrow I should be discharged.
Life is good. Thank you for your prayers! They mean so much to me.
So good to hear…prayers for a good night of sleep.
Well done! Thinking of you..
Jen- praise God for your surgery going well! Have been thinking of you lots today!

You are truly an inspiration and amazing woman. Thanks to be God!!! You make an awesome team (and Brad of course) 🙂
Thanks to you, your mom and Brad for the updates! I am so glad to come on here this evening and read that everything went well. Again–as somebody that went something similar with family just a few short years ago and had the hard wait to hear the news ‘the liver is clean’…I was feeling the anxiety of waiting right along with you. Rest tight and heal well! We are all still praying with you.
Sleep well Jen – that deep and restful sleep that rejuvenates the body and the soul. In the word the Lord promises to give to His beloved in their sleep…you my dear have had a busy busy day!! the storm has abated and the sun shined brightly all day. We’re excited to see you come home 😉
Jen, A piece of you is gone, but you still have the whole, beautiful, cancer free body left! Peace be with you and a good nights sleep! Happy Healing! Love, aunt Annie
