Discharged!

Discharged!

Brad and I had another strange date tonight: he came straight after work for Hospital Discharge Date Night.  He was thrilled to see me not encumbered by hospital paraphernalia.  Though, truth be told, he’s always thrilled to see me after we’ve been apart.  I love the way he loves me.  🙂

We busted out and had a good car ride home, and met Maren and my parents at their house.  My digs were decorated by a few friends, so I have signs of encouragement and pictures of my family all around me.  Cool, right?

Maren was thrilled to see me and spent our entire hour-and-a-half together snuggled up in my lap.  She really is being so brave through all of this.  I’m so proud of her.  Now, on to rest and relaxation!  Three cheers for no one coming to check my vital signs every two hours!

  7. Wow, so glad you got to be discharged so soon. Hospitals are awesome places, because they help us, but being with family 24/7 is soooo much better.

I will pray for your comfort tonight. Those first few days at home can be tough.

Great news! Maren’s snuggles are probably some of the best medicine! Continued healing thoughts & prayers coming your way!

  39. How awesome to be out of hospital and on to the next stage of healing. I totally agree with you about the chest tube except I think the correct definition of size is more like a fire hose than garden hose. To heal in the arms of your beautiful husband and family is the best medicine. Sending you, our prayers, mixed with wine and chocolate. Love Neecie and Leo

  40. Just stumbled upon your website through a friend of mine’s facebook page. So happy that you are home from the hospital and with your family. You will be in my prayers. I am reading a book called One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. She is a mother of six, and the book is profound and has changed my life for the better. She also has a website that I find so uplifting, its called aholyexperience.com May you and your loved ones be filled with God’s amazing peace, His faithful love endures forever.
